Job summary

United Alloy in Union, OH is hiring an experienced MIG Welder for heavy tank and structural fabrication at our Union facility. This full-time, on-site role offers $25/hour starting pay with overtime opportunities and a daytime schedule Monday–Thursday.

You will set up and run weld centers, read blueprints and welding symbols, perform tank tests, and ensure outputs meet AWS D1.1 and customer standards. No travel, home every night.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in heavy fabrication.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation of welding symbols.
• Ability to pass AWS D1.1 weld test.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run 1–2 weld work centers independently.
• MIG weld large fabricated tank components using fixtures.
• Read blueprints and interpret welding symbols.
• Perform tank leak tests and first articles.
• Inspect welds to meet AWS D1.1 and customer standards.
• Maintain welding machines, wire, and gas.
• Aim for 95%+ efficiency and quality.
