Job summary

O’Neal Manufacturing Services in Houston, TX is seeking a MIG Welder I to join the team. The candidate will fabricate and repair steel parts using gas metal arc welding and related equipment.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, inspecting welds, and following safety protocols while supporting quality programs. The position offers first and second shifts with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass a MIG welder certification.
• Apprenticeship, training or vocational program preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Ability to operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal by applying welding techniques.
• Interprets blueprints/specs to determine welding process.
• Inspects welds for structural soundness.
• Sets up materials and welding devices (manual or robotic).
• Supports safety and quality programs by following rules and processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
