Job summary

WEBCO MFG in Kansas is seeking a MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our in-person Weld Team. You will produce high-quality welds, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specs for customer orders in a fast-paced, employee-owned environment.

The role offers a team-oriented shop with air-conditioned facility, quarterly bonuses, ESOP, benefits package, and clear growth paths. Olathe commute considered; relocation required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year MIG welding/fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience with flat, horizontal, and vertical uphill welds.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality welds efficiently.
• Verify materials meet specs by selecting welding method per blueprint.
• Perform first piece check and submit for QA inspection.
• Maintain production records to ensure correct part counts.
• Organize work by complexity and estimated completion time.
• Additional duties as required.

Job duties:

• Produce high quality welds efficiently.
• Ensure materials meet customer specifications by determining the welding method to be used if it is not stated on the blueprint.
• Ensure parts are welded correctly by performing the first piece check and submitting it to quality assurance for inspection prior to completing the entire job.
• Ensure production of the correct number of parts by maintaining records on production
• Ensure efficient and timely processing of various job orders by organizing work to be performed according to complexity, method used, anticipated completion time, etc.
• Other responsibilities as required.

Skills/Requirements:

• MIG Welding/Fabricator experience (at least one year)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Comfortable with flat, horizontal, and vertical uphill welds
• Strong attention to detail and efficiency
