Job summary

WEBCO MFG is seeking a MIG WELDER/FABRICATOR to join our Weld Team in Bonner Springs, Kansas. You will produce high quality welds that meet customer specifications and read blueprints to determine welding methods. Attention to detail and efficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• MIG welding/fabrication experience of at least 1 year.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Comfortable with flat, horizontal, and vertical uphill welds.
• Strong attention to detail and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality welds efficiently.
• Verify material specs by selecting welding method per blueprint.
• Perform first piece check and submit for QA.
• Maintain production records to ensure correct part counts.
• Organize work by complexity and completion time.
• Other duties as required.

Job duties:

• Produce high quality welds efficiently.
• Ensure materials meet customer specifications by determining the welding method to be used if it is not stated on the blueprint.
• Ensure parts are welded correctly by performing the first piece check and submitting it to quality assurance for inspection prior to completing the entire job.
• Ensure production of the correct number of parts by maintaining records on production
• Ensure efficient and timely processing of various job orders by organizing work to be performed according to complexity, method used, anticipated completion time, etc.
• Other responsibilities as required.

Skills/Requirements:

• MIG Welding/Fabricator experience (at least one year)
