Job summary

Unarco Material Handling in Pandora, OH is seeking an experienced welder to fabricate parts using gas and electric welding techniques, while keeping a clean work area and following UNARCO's Total Quality Management philosophy.

The role is first shift, Monday through Friday 6:00 am - 3:30 pm, with up to 2 Saturdays per month, and requires ability to lift 50 pounds, read blueprints, pass welding tests, and work with little supervision.

Qualifications

• Pass company entry level welding and tape tests.
• Able to understand verbal and written orders.
• Able to weld a visually acceptable bead.
• Read blueprints and complete inventory tickets.

Responsibilities

• Receives instructions for job from area supervisor or leadman.
• Fabricates parts by welding various parts as required by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
• Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded, sets up, assembles and welds parts.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds at a reasonable rate in a normal day.
• Must meet or exceed production standards.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends, as required.
• Other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $23.44 Hourly

Job Shift: First ShiftHours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 3:30 pm, AND currently required to work up to 2 Saturdays per month

Pay: $23.44/hr effective 09/01

Welding performs a variety of welding, brazing and cutting techniques using gas and electric welding equipment while observing safety regulations and engaging in UNARCO’s Total Quality Management philosophy. Maintains a clean work area, free of wood, banding material, and other debris and dunnage. Performs other duties as directed by leadership.
