Job summary

BESTAFF is hiring a Production Welder for a top manufacturing partner in Louisville, KY. This direct hire role requires MIG welding skills, blueprint reading, and the ability to work independently on the shop floor with strong quality focus.

You will operate MIG welding equipment, read work orders, and verify conformance to specs while meeting daily output targets. The position is full-time, first shift, with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• MUST have Welding Certification.
• Able to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and working with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble parts per work orders.
• Read blueprints and inspect welds for quality.
• Set machines for different materials and thickness.
• Maintain neat, safe work area and meet production goals.
• Transition between benches and assist as needed.

About the Role

BESTAFF is hiring a Production Welder for a top manufacturing partner in Louisville, KY. This direct hire opportunity is a great fit for a skilled welder who takes pride in quality work, reads blueprints with confidence, and thrives working independently on the shop floor.

What You'll Do

• Weld and assemble parts and components
• Read and understand work orders and specifications
• Ensure minimum and maximum output quantities are met
• Use gauges, MIG-welding equipment, jigs, fixtures, grinders, and measuring tools
• Set machines for different types of materials and varying thickness
• Perform basic regular lubrication and maintenance of machines
• Test and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with work orders when necessary
• Follow scheduling dates to meet production goals
• Transition between benches as needed
• Read blueprints to determine each weld for units with little guidance
• Work efficiently and effectively across diversified tasks
• Perform quality work and keep your work area neat and organized
• Take on other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Minimum Grade 12 (high school) education
