Job summary

US Tech Force is seeking a Welder – Fabricator with MIG or TIG welding experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible and dedicated with proven welding education and hands-on experience.

You will read engineering drawings, fabricate handrails and frames, and verify weld quality using calipers and micrometers. You will clamp, tack-weld, grind, and finish parts to meet customer specs in an on-site shop, with minimal supervision. Safety and quality standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• Proven education and hands-on welding experience.
• Ability to analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience with welding to exact tolerances and finishes.

Responsibilities

• Fit, fabricate, and weld handrails, frames, and other structural pieces according to customer specifications
• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
• Check grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
• Clean or degrease parts, using wire brushes, portable grinders, or chemical baths
