Job summary

Maysteel is seeking a general set-up operator (GSO) in welding to perform MIG and TIG tasks, read blueprints, and ensure quality. You will set up multiple jobs, maintain safety, and log job data in Epicor ERP.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and good communication skills; Arcweld certification is recommended. The role works in a manufacturing facility with opportunities to train others and contribute to process improvements while upholding Maysteel's Equal

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred with basic tool use.
• Basic math and communication skills are required.
• Arcweld certification is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG and TIG welding processes per project needs.
• Set up and operate at least one MIG job and one TIG job.
• Fluently read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Deburr and grind metal to required texture.
• Record data and log into ERP for jobs.
• Maintain safe work area and conserve resources.
