Job summary

SPX Technologies, within Cincinnati Fan, is seeking a skilled Welder for the 1st shift in Mason, OH. You will join a team to produce metal components by MIG welding, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, maintaining work areas, welding to specifications, coordinating with team leads, and performing light equipment maintenance. A minimum of 1 year MIG welding experience and a high school diploma are preferred; forklift and

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business
• Maintain general work areas and/or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition
• Ensure proper and effective operation of machine and tools throughout entire process. Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor
• Confirm material, sizes, and parts match work order/job tickets
• Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects
• Able to self-monitor quality of own work, and report to lead or supervisor unusual, defective, or operating difficulties
• Complete tasks and work within designed quality guidelines
• Read blueprints, schematics, work orders and/or assembly sketches
• Coordinate staging and sequencing of parts, productions items, and product components
• Prepare both metals and work surfaces for the production process
• Select appropriate tools, materials, gas ratios, and build fixturing/shipping brackets as needed
• Transfer completed product to next workstation/process using cranes and forklift as needed
• Perform light maintenance on equipment, machines, and other devices used in the normal course of work performed
• Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
• Desire to do the right thing
• Team player, assisting other team members and departments as needed with other duties not routine to position
• Punctual, on time, ready to work designated shift, every day

How You Will Make An Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a welder, you will work as a team to meet on time delivery and exceed customer satisfaction. You will complete a variety of tasks with the overall goal of creating functional metal components primarily by performing MIG tack welding operations. This opportunity is for 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm. We are looking for individuals that want to be part of a team with a desire to enhance their career in production welding. Pay based on experience and weld test.
