North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Midwife/General Obstetric Sonographer to join our expanding Maternity Ultrasound Service across Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke sites. The role involves cross-site work and contributing to shaping a new state-of-the-art hospital project planned for 2027–2028.

Formación

• Experience as a Band 7 Midwife/General Obstetric Sonographer.
• Ability to lead, mentor and develop staff within a multidisciplinary maternity service.
• Excellence in clinical communication and patient care.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver high-quality obstetric ultrasound services across all pregnancy stages.
• Undertake routine, anomaly, and specialist scans with development opportunities.
• Collaborate with obstetric, fetal medicine and maternity colleagues on clinical pathways.
• Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to midwifery and sonography staff.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement across Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke sites.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold professional standards of safety and care.

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Midwife/General Obstetric Sonographer to join our expanding Maternity Ultrasound Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern, well‑equipped District General Hospital in the multicultural and rapidly growing city of Peterborough.

The role includes cross‑site working at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, with the additional unique opportunity to be part of shaping services ahead of the new multi‑million‑pound, state‑of‑the‑art hospital planned to begin construction in 2027–2028.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and proactive clinician with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering safe, compassionate maternity care. You will be capable of working both independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. Your drive and positive approach will play a key role in the continued development of our service.

• Deliver high‑quality obstetric ultrasound services across all stages of pregnancy.
• Undertake routine, anomaly, and specialist scanning, with development opportunities in multiple pregnancy and complex obstetric scanning in accordance with guidelines set out by the Fetal Anomaly Screening Programme.
• Work collaboratively with obstetric, fetal medicine, and maternity colleagues to support safe and effective clinical pathways.
• Provide clinical leadership, support, and mentorship to midwifery and sonography staff.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement across both Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke sites.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and patient care.
