Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) seeks an Operations Manager to lead safe, reliable, and compliant Cadiz plant operations. The role coordinates centralized support services, oversees the area budget, and drives emergency preparedness and compliant reporting across operations.

The position interacts with HES&S, Integrity/Reliability, and Business Development, while partnering with producers, officials, and vendors to maintain performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three (3) years leadership experience required.
• Three (3) years oil and gas industry experience is required; midstream preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, compliant, reliable operations for Cadiz plant assets.
• Manage area budget, oversee emergency preparedness activities, and ensure accurate compliance reporting.
• Serve as main contact for internal resources and key external stakeholders.
• Establish clear expectations for organizational behavior and coach team members.
• Oversee Opex and maintenance budget development and track against forecast.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities, drills, and training; act as Incident Commander when needed.
