Job summary

EQT Corporation in the United States is seeking a Midstream Operations Technician to maintain and operate midstream gathering systems, including pipelines, compression, storage, and dehydration. You will follow safety policies and utilize Stop Work Authority to protect personnel and the environment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with commissioning, document field data, and coordinate with construction on shut-downs and SIMOPS.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related work in natural gas operations, pipelines, storage or facilities.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Products.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and research skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to set priorities and work independently.
• Must be a team player with high energy and initiative.
• High School Diploma / GED required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe operating environment, follows policies and Stop Work Authority.
• Operates and maintains midstream gathering systems: compression, pipelines, storage, dehydration, measurement and related equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on pipelines, engines, dehydration equipment and gas compressors.
• Performs pipeline maintenance tasks: leak surveys, odorant injection, valve maintenance and pigging.
• Documents work orders and field data in a computerized system for compliance reporting.
• Coordinates with construction on shut-downs, commissioning and SIMOPS for new facilities/assets.
• Completes assignments within established timeframes and ensures accurate documentation.
