Job summary

EQT Corporation is offering a 12-week paid intern program in the midstream facilities engineering area, based in the Pittsburgh, PA region. The intern will gain hands-on experience in design, construction, and commissioning while supporting active projects in natural gas facilities.

As part of the Facilities group, the intern will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and operations teams, learning safety protocols, industry standards, and project execution processes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in midstream facilities, natural gas infrastructure, energy systems, or field operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, CAD/design software, or engineering data tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist facilities engineering and project management teams with day-to-day technical and administrative tasks.
• Support engineering design reviews, equipment and material evaluations, drawing reviews, and project documentation.
• Participate in field visits, facility walkdowns, construction inspections, commissioning activities, or operational reviews.
• Help organize and maintain engineering drawings, equipment documentation, as-built records, inspection reports, and project files.
• Attend team meetings and shadow field and office personnel to understand the project lifecycle.
• Conduct research, engineering calculations, data analysis, or technical presentations supporting facility design and execution initiatives.
• Learn and apply EQT safety protocols, standards, regulatory, and environmental procedures.
• Collaborate across disciplines to understand cross-functional team integration in midstream projects.
