Job summary

Interlink Recruitment, on behalf of a leading international law firm, seeks a Midlevel Tax Associate for its New York office. You will handle sophisticated transactional tax matters and work closely with partners on complex M&A, financings, and energy tax projects.

The role offers mentorship, increasing responsibility, and direct client contact, with a competitive base salary in the $270,000–$365,000 range and strong career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience handling transactional tax matters at a law firm or comparable sophisticated practice.
• Strong experience with tax aspects of corporate transactions, financings, partnerships, and/or M&A.
• Experience with renewable energy projects and credits, tax equity, or energy tax matters is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on the tax aspects of complex corporate and transactional matters.
• Draft and review partnership, joint venture, and limited liability company agreements.
• Advise on tax considerations relating to equity and debt financing transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate tax provisions in merger agreements, stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, and related transactional documents.
• Work on renewable energy transactions, including tax equity structures and transferable tax credits.
• Collaborate with attorneys across corporate and other practice groups on multidisciplinary transactions.
• Assume increasing responsibility for matters and direct client interaction.
