SOCOTEC is seeking an Environmental Specialist to manage complex environmental projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to strategic planning. The role requires leadership in assessments, permitting, and stakeholder engagement across client teams and agencies.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in consulting, energy, or industrial sectors, with a strong background in environmental science or engineering, and proficiency in GIS, CADD, and reporting.
The position will manage complex environmental projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to strategic environmental planning with a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated leadership in environmental assessments, permitting, and stakeholder engagement. Preferred experience includes but is not limited to permitting, wetland delineations, stormwater evaluations, and CADD drafting.
Bachelor’s Degree – Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
Master’s Degree is preferred.
7+ years of relevant environmental experience, preferably in consulting, energy, or industrial sectors is preferred.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred.
Professional certification (e.g., PE, PG, CHMM, QEP) is preferred.
In accordance with OSHA and other federal workplace regulations, an Environmental Specialist is expected to complete the following duties:
