Job summary

Aux Partners in Kansas City is seeking a Middleware Engineer / Integration Developer to design, build, and support integrations between enterprise applications. You will work across cloud platforms, APIs, and iPaaS tools, with emphasis on Workato and REST/SOAP services, collaborating with clients and consultants on multi-system integrations.

The role offers hybrid work in the Kansas City area, opportunities to work with Azure, AWS, and ERP/CRM integrations, and mentorship from senior engineers

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development, integration, or application development experience.
• Experience with Workato is highly preferred.
• Experience with iPaaS platforms such as Boomi or MuleSoft is valued.
• Experience building or supporting REST APIs and web services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support integrations between enterprise business applications
• Build and maintain integration workflows using iPaaS technologies (Workato preferred)
• Develop APIs, data mappings, transformation logic, and automation solutions
• Build web applications and internal tools using TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Deploy and support solutions within Microsoft Azure
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize existing integrations
• Partner with consultants and clients to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

MIDDLEWARE ENGINEER / INTEGRATION DEVELOPER

Kansas City Metro (Hybrid Preferred)

I'm partnering with an innovative technology consulting firm that is looking to add a Middleware Engineer / Integration Developer to its growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building modern integrations, and working directly with clients to connect critical business systems. You'll work across cloud technologies, APIs, enterprise applications, and custom software development while collaborating with experienced engineers on large-scale implementation projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, develop, and support integrations between enterprise business applications


• Build and maintain integration workflows using modern iPaaS technologies, with Workato experience highly preferred


• Develop APIs, data mappings, transformation logic, and automation solutions


• Build web applications and internal tools using TypeScript, Node.js, and React


• Work with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, webhooks, and SQL


• Deploy and support solutions within Microsoft Azure


• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize existing integrations


• Partner with consultants and clients to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions


• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

WHAT WE\'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of software development, integration, or application development experience


• Experience with Workato is highly preferred


• Experience with Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, or other iPaaS platforms is also highly valued


• Experience building or supporting REST APIs and web services


• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud


• Experience integrating ERP, HRIS, CRM, procurement, or financial systems is a plus


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
