Job summary

Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Escalante Middle School. This role teaches seventh and eighth graders the fundamentals, strategies, and conditioning of wrestling.

The season runs from late January 2027 through mid-March 2027. Preferred qualifications include wrestling knowledge, experience with youth, CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain it, and the ability to plan practices and communicate with players, coaches, parents, and

• Familiarity with fundamental wrestling skills and drills.
• Experience working with middle school-aged athletes.
• CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain it.
• Ability to plan and organize practices efficiently.
• Ability to instruct players on techniques to develop fundamentals.
• Provide constructive feedback to help players improve.
• Promote teamwork and good sportsmanship among players.
