Job summary

Byron Center Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Track Coach to develop young athletes, teach running fundamentals, and foster sportsmanship across the season. You will mentor a cohesive team, coordinate with school staff, and model adherence to the athletic code.

Applicants should demonstrate prior coaching or active involvement in youth sports, strong communication, and commitment to ongoing coaching education.

• Strong knowledge of running fundamentals and strategies.
• Experience coaching youth or involvement in youth sports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to Byron Center Public Schools Athletic Code.
• Willingness to attend coaching clinics and off-season training.
• Availability to assist with youth summer camps.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentorship qualities.
• Familiarity with MHSAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to travel with athletes to/from competitions.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification before the season.
