Job summary

A midwestern educational institution seeks a Middle School STEM Teacher responsible for designing and implementing a rigorous STEM curriculum for grades 6-8. The teacher will lead instructional coaching, integrating technology and hands-on learning experiences. A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field and a valid NE Teaching Certificate are required. Candidates must demonstrate mastery of teaching standards and methodologies in STEM education and facilitate project-based learning to prepare students for future academic challenges.

Qualifications

  • Strong familiarity with NGSS and Archdiocese of Omaha standards.
  • Facilitates project-based learning experiences using the engineering design process.
  • Mastery of Vex Robotics and transition from block-based to text-based coding.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, implements, and assesses the STEM curriculum for grades 6-8.
  • Serves as a lead instructional coach for fellow educators.
  • Fosters hands-on, inquiry-based learning.

Skills

Strong familiarity with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
Facilitate project-based learning experiences
Mastery of Vex Robotics (IQ/V5)
Proficiency in 3D Printing and CAD software
Expert use of Google for Education

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related technical field
