Job summary

Southwest Licking Local School District seeks experienced head coaches to lead our Track and Softball programs at Watkins Middle School in Pataskala, Ohio. The ideal candidate will foster student-athlete development, build a positive, competitive team culture, and uphold high standards of sportmanship.

Applicants must obtain the Pupil Activity Permit, Fundamentals of Coaching, CPR/First Aid, concussion training, and other required safety trainings.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Pupil Activity Permit and coaching credentials.
• Demonstrated track record in leading teams and developing athletes.
• Must complete CPR/First Aid and concussion-related trainings.
• Must complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest training and mental health training.
• BCI/FBI background check is required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead high school teams with a focus on athlete development and competitive culture.
• Coordinate skill development, practice plans, and game strategy.
• Work with Athletic Director and Building Principal to ensure compliance with district policies.
