Job summary

Empowerment Academy Charter School in Jersey City is seeking a Middle School Science Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year and beyond. Certified Science Teachers are eligible for a $7,500 Critical Need Bonus!!!

The role offers a base salary SY27 of $70,000-$90,000, with hours from 7:15-3:05, Monday-Friday. We serve a diverse student body and emphasize teamwork, PLCs, and strong teacher supports.

Qualifications

• Must hold NJ CE/CEAS or Standard Certificate in K-12 Science, or Elementary Certification with Middle School Science (5-8) endorsement.
• Only certificated candidates should apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach middle school science to diverse learners.
• Plan lessons and assessments aligned with curriculum.
• Collaborate in PLCs with peers and specialists to meet scholars' needs.

Education

New Jersey Department of Education CE/CEAS or Standard Certificate in K-12 Science

Elementary Certification with a Middle School Science (5-8) endorsement
