Job Description

Position:
This position is for a physical education teacher licensed to teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade PE. This position will work collaboratively with a second PE teacher and does NOT include the teaching of health.

The successful applicant will:

• Hold a Vermont Physical Education Endorsement (3-08 Pk-12);
  
• Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in physical education curriculum, instruction, and assessment;
  
• Demonstrate strong understanding of middle level learners and the nature and needs of young adolescents;
  
• Demonstrate understanding of SHAPE Standards;
  
• Be open to or have experience with collaborating with team colleagues to create a dynamic learning environment;
  
• Have strong classroom management skills
  
• Demonstrate the ability to design and implement creative and inclusive physical activities that engage all students, regardless of skill level, and foster a lifelong interest in physical activity and wellness.
