Job Description: The Middle School Musical Director is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising all aspects of the spring middle school musical production.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct the middle school musical production.
  • Organize and conduct student auditions and casting.
  • Lead rehearsals for music, acting, and stage performance.
  • Collaborate with school staff, volunteers, and production personnel.
  • Communicate rehearsal and performance expectations to students and families.
  • Support a positive, inclusive, and student‑centered rehearsal environment.
  • Coordinate performance schedules and production timelines.
  • Supervise students during rehearsals and performances.
  • Assist with costumes, props, staging, and production logistics as needed.
  • Ensure all activities follow district policies and safety expectations.
Time Commitment
  • Attend auditions, rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances as scheduled.
  • Rehearsal schedule includes after‑school and evening commitments.
  • Additional planning and coordination time required throughout the production.
  • Expected commitment runs from initial planning through final performance and strike/cleanup.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance and supervision throughout the production process.
