Job Description: The Middle School Musical Director is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising all aspects of the spring middle school musical production.

Responsibilities

Plan and direct the middle school musical production.
Organize and conduct student auditions and casting.
Lead rehearsals for music, acting, and stage performance.
Collaborate with school staff, volunteers, and production personnel.
Communicate rehearsal and performance expectations to students and families.
Support a positive, inclusive, and student‑centered rehearsal environment.
Coordinate performance schedules and production timelines.
Supervise students during rehearsals and performances.
Assist with costumes, props, staging, and production logistics as needed.
Ensure all activities follow district policies and safety expectations.

Time Commitment

Attend auditions, rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances as scheduled.
Rehearsal schedule includes after‑school and evening commitments.
Additional planning and coordination time required throughout the production.
Expected commitment runs from initial planning through final performance and strike/cleanup.
Ability to maintain consistent attendance and supervision throughout the production process.
