• Plans and implements a program of instruction consistent with district goals and courses of study.
• Creates engaging lesson plans and uses varied teaching strategies to maximize time on task.
• Maintains classroom environment conducive to learning and provides progress reports as required.
• Communicates effectively with parents and staff; plans and prescribes assignments for paraprofessionals and volunteers.
• Evaluates student progress using multiple assessment methods and adjusts instruction accordingly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
