Job summary

Qualifications

• Must comply with district policies and maintain student confidentiality.

• Willingness to support instructional activities and learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Working with individual pupils or groups on special instructional projects as defined by classroom teachers.
• Providing the teacher with information about pupils to assist learning experiences.
• Assisting pupils in the use of instructional resources and in developing materials.
• Participating in in-service training programs as assigned.
• Maintaining high ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
• Assisting in instructional work and evaluation as required by teachers.
• Planning lessons and units in conjunction with classroom teachers.
• Assist with educational support and classroom transitions of identified special education students.
• Offer behavioral support to identified students when disruptions occur.
• Assist monitoring identified students in the cafeteria as needed.
• Carrying out other duties as deemed by Administration and the Board of Education.
