AMS – Nellis Campus in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a passionate Middle School Humanities teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. You will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction in English Language Arts, reading, writing, and social studies to grades 5–8, developing strong literacy and critical thinking.

Candidates must hold a Nevada teaching license (or be able to obtain prior to start) and have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, History, or a related field.

Qualifications

  • Nevada teaching license or ability to obtain before start date.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, History, or related field.
  • Strong classroom management; data-driven mindset; ability to work with Title I and multilingual learners.
  • Pass background checks per Nevada state requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned humanities instruction (ELA, reading, writing, social studies) aligned with AMS curriculum and Nevada standards.
  • Differentiate instruction to support students above/below grade level.
  • Establish a structured, positive classroom environment with PBIS and high expectations.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, instructional coaches, and school leadership to improve instructional practices.
  • Engage families with regular progress updates and conferences.
