Position Overview:
The Middle School General Studies Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in core subjects such as English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The ideal candidate will create a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement creative and effective lessons aligned with academic standards.
- Teach core General Studies subjects, fostering a well-rounded educational experience.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of middle school students.
- Assess student progress through regular assignments, projects, and evaluations.
- Provide a nurturing and supportive classroom atmosphere to build students' confidence, independence, and motivation.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to ensure the success and growth of each student.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance instruction.
- Maintain classroom management while cultivating respect, responsibility, and strong character traits.
- Prepare students for the transition to high school by developing critical thinking and study skills.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Education or a related field (required).
- Teaching certification preferred.
- Previous experience teaching middle school-aged students, preferably in a private school or Yeshiva setting.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage students through dynamic and differentiated instruction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
