Sonoran Science Academy Phoenix, part of the Sonoran Schools network, seeks a Middle School English Teacher to inspire students in grades 6–8 within a STEM-focused public charter setting. The role emphasizes engaging lesson plans aligned with Arizona standards, ongoing assessment, and differentiated instruction to support diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution.
• 3 or more years of teaching experience preferred.
• Arizona Department of Education Certification (preferred).
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Creative and engaging instructional style with a genuine passion for teaching.
• Collaborative team player with a positive, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Teaching English to grades 6, 7, and 8 using AZ Academic Standards with engaging, rigorous, age-appropriate daily lesson plans.
• Using formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.
• Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Establishing and maintaining a structured, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Supporting interdisciplinary learning and collaborating with colleagues across grade levels and content areas.
• Communicating regularly and professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Participating in team meetings, professional development, curriculum planning, and school events.
• Supporting students’ social-emotional development and overall well-being.

Sonoran Science Academy Phoenix is a K-12 public charter school and part of the Sonoran Schools network, a leader in STEM education since 2001. We are seeking a Middle School English Teacher who is passionate about their craft and ready to make a lasting impact in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Your Role Will Include

• Teaching English to grades 6, 7, and 8 using Arizona Academic Standards with engaging, rigorous, and age-appropriate daily lesson plans.

Salary and Benefits

• Pay: $56,000 to $65,050 per year.
