• Uphold Board of Education policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Plan and implement instruction aligned to district goals and objectives.
• Evaluate students regularly and provide reports as required.
• Create a classroom and school environment conducive to learning.
• Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, students, parents, and the community to meet professional standards.
• Maintain and improve professional competence.
• Participate in meetings and perform other responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
• Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods and apply differentiated instruction.
• Utilize technology to promote learning, creativity, collaboration.
• Regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate support for the Mission, Vision, and Goals of Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123
• Uphold the established Board of Education policies, regulations, and administrative procedures
• Plan and implement appropriate instruction using methods and materials which are most appropriate for meeting district goals and objectives
• Evaluate students on a regular basis and provide reports as required
• Create a classroom and school environment that is conducive to learning and is age appropriate
• Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, students, parents, and the community as needed to meet professional standards and advance student learning
• Maintain and improve professional competence
• Participate in meetings and perform other responsibilities as assigned by the principal or designee in accordance with the Board of Education
• Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time
• Apply student learning theory, brain-based learning, and differentiated instruction
• Utilize technology to promote learning, creativity, collaboration
• Regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job
