Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or post-graduate work in English Language Arts or Math
• Master's degree preferred
• Washington State teaching certificate with endorsement in Elementary Education, ELA, or Math
• Demonstrated understanding of research-based instructional strategies and assessment practices
• Recent experience modeling effective instructional strategies and assessment practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of needs of diverse learners and strategies to address them
• Understanding of local and state standards
• Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff and district patrons
• Evidence of use of technology to enhance student learning or willingness to learn
• Demonstrated organizational skills and commitment to follow through on tasks
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with students, teachers, admins, community
• Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing

• Collaborating with parents and school community
• Participating in PLC/Data Team workflows
• Coordinating with counselor and staff to plan interventions
• Training paraeducators in literacy curriculum

Education

Bachelor's degree or post-graduate work in ELA or Math

Master's degree preferred

Washington State teaching certificate with endorsement in Elementary Ed, ELA, or Math

Understanding of research-based instructional strategies

Experience modeling effective instructional practices

Needs of diverse learners

Understanding local/state standards

Confidential information handling
