Job summary

Kuna Joint School District 3 ATHLETIC/ACTIVITIES DEPARTMENT is seeking a Coaching Assistant (employee or volunteer) at Kuna Middle School or Fremont Middle School. This part-time position supports the athletic program under the supervision of the Principal and Athletic Director.

The role includes coordinating practices, promoting participation, leading drills, and helping with program activities and fundraising while adhering to district rules.

Qualifications

• Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of a program.
• Cleared background investigation.
• Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below.
• Positive public relations skills.
• Strongly encouraged to complete a coaching principles courses.
• Complete a First Aid Course with CPR component.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and promotion of the program.
• Promote athlete participation throughout the school year.
• Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions.
• Adjust coaching techniques based on athletes’ abilities.
• Arrange program-specific activities (summer training, skills-improvement sessions, pre-season try-outs).
• Instruct athletes in rules, game strategies, and performance principles.
• Provide training, encouragement, and motivation for competition.
• Assist in generating funds for the program through approved fundraisers.
• Operate under state/league/school rules and regulations.
• Understand rules and regulations and comply with High school activities.
• Discipline, address grievances, and work to increase morale and cooperation.
• Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
• Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.

• Assist in arranging and conducting program-specific activities, such as summer training, skills-improvement sessions, and pre-season try-outs.
• Instruct athletes in rules, game strategies, and performance principles
• Provide training, encouragement, and motivation to prepare athletes for competition
• Assist in generating additional funds for support of the program through approved fundraisers.
• Carefully operate under state/league/school rules and regulations.
