West Virginia K-12 Jobs seeks an Assistant Cheer Coach for Peterstown Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. The position involves guiding middle school students to build cheer skills, teamwork, discipline, and school spirit.

Candidates must hold a current WVDE certificate or WVSSAC certification, complete the interview process, and pass a drug screen and background check, in line with Monroe County policies.

Qualifications

• Must be a professional employee of the Monroe County Board of Education, a nearby County Board of Education, or meet WV Secondary School Activities requirements and successfully complete the interview process.
• Must have CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• To coach and assist with participating students to achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and an increased level of self-esteem, and assist in athletic program.
