Job Description

• Promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual health and safety of all student-athletes by creating a consistently safe and supportive environment.
• Coach in alignment with the school's mission: to bring glory to God by providing children with an excellent Christ-centered education rooted in the Word of God, using athletics as a platform for discipleship and growth.
• Model Christ-centered leadership through exemplary sportsmanship, integrity, and conduct on and off the court.
• Respect, value, and dignify each student-athlete as an individual created in God's image.
• Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the middle school boys basketball program.
• Collaborate with other middle school and high school basketball coaches to ensure unity in philosophy, expectations, and discipleship across all levels of the program.
• Establish and communicate time commitments that honor the primary importance of each student-athlete's academic, family, and faith responsibilities.
• Foster a culture of belonging, accountability, and mutual support among athletes and coaches.
• Maintain awareness of current basketball strategies, skill development, and coaching best practices appropriate to the middle school level.
• Be available to parents at mutually convenient times and in accordance with athletic department communication guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with school personnel to advocate for the holistic well-being of student-athletes.
• Oversee the inventory, care, and maintenance of all basketball equipment.
• Encourage and support multi-sport participation among student-athletes.
