Job summary

Caprock Academy in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an MS Assistant Basketball Coach. The role is 15–20 hours weekly during the season with a stipend of 600–1,200. Responsibilities include supporting student athletes academically, coaching at all program levels, and coordinating camps and events.

Previous varsity or collegiate coaching/playing experience is preferred, with strong communication and organization skills. CHSAA certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching/playing at varsity or collegiate level preferred.
• Proven track record of promoting program growth and athlete success.
• Strong knowledge of the sport and its fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to mediate and coach constructively.
• CHSAA certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Support student athletes academically and during the season.
• Coach and supervise athletes at all levels of the program.
• Communicate with Head Coach and Athletic Director about needs and concerns.
• Help develop schedules, fundraisers, camps, and awards events.
• Direct and supervise instructional and conditioning camps year-round.
