Job Description

• Exhibit knowledge of thesport


• Adhere to all laws of the State of Washington in regards to conduct between a teacher (coach) andstudent (athlete)


• Ability to teach sportsmanship, respect, skills, and healthy living. Be a mentor and example toathletes. Promote academics first. Provide the bestopportunity possible for each student’s success


• Ability to work withother coaches, officials, and administrators in a professional andcourteous manner


• Maintain a valid CPR/First Aid card


• Report to the head coach.Will be supervised and evaluated by the head coach in conjunction with the athletic director


• Adhere to and enforce allschool, school district, league, and WIAA rules and regulations


• Report all violations orsuspected issues to the head coach immediately


• Assume duties assigned bythe head coach of the program


• Follow proper care techniques when injuries occur


• Follow and enforce teamdiscipline standards


• Refrain from the use oftobacco and alcohol any time athletes are present. Failure to do so may result inimmediate dismissal


• Attend all school,league, and state meetings as required


• Continue education inregards to new rules, coaching techniques, and teaching methods


• Pay is based on thecurrent extracurricular salary schedule


• Must pass a valid Washington state background check
