Job summary

The Clover School District's Roosevelt Middle School is seeking an Assistant Coach for the upcoming season. This part-time position focuses on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and providing a safe, supportive environment for middle school student-athletes.

You will plan and conduct practices, supervise players during games, communicate with families and staff, and assist with scheduling, equipment, and safety trainings (CPR/First Aid).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Background checks and coaching certifications completed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct practices emphasizing fundamentals and player development.
• Coach and supervise student‑athletes during practices and games.
• Model sportsmanship, leadership, and ethical behavior.
• Ensure compliance with district policies and league rules.
• Supervise student‑athletes before, during, and after activities.
• Communicate with players, parents, staff, and administrators.
• Assist with scheduling, transportation, equipment, and facilities.
• Support academic success and positive behavior.
• Attend meetings and trainings related to coaching and safety.
