Job summary

EMCD is an international technology company in the crypto industry. We are seeking a Middle Platform Engineer to join our infrastructure team, focusing on building a scalable shared platform, automating infrastructure, and enabling development teams to ship changes quickly and safely.

You will bring practical DevOps experience to grow into Platform Engineering and SRE, taking increasing responsibility for reliability while collaborating with engineers across cloud, on-prem, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Practical DevOps/SRE experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Strong Linux skills and networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with IaC and configuration management (Terraform/Ansible).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure across cloud and bare-metal environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Ansible.
• Build and improve GitLab CI pipelines and templates for dev teams.
• Maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Helm.
• Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting, participate in incident investigations.
• Develop internal tools and automation using Python or Go.
• Contribute to networking, secrets management, and access controls improvements.
• Help developers use the platform and automate recurring tasks.

EMCD is an international technology company in the crypto industry. We are developing an ecosystem of products and services and are looking for a Middle Platform Engineer to join our infrastructure team.

You will help develop our shared engineering platform, automate infrastructure, and enable development teams to deliver changes to production quickly and safely.

This role is a good fit for an engineer with practical DevOps experience who wants to grow into Platform Engineering and SRE, gradually taking on greater responsibility for system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure across cloud and bare-metal environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
• Build and improve GitLab CI pipelines and reusable build and deployment templates for development teams.
• Maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Helm.
• Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting, and participate in incident investigation and resolution.
• Develop internal tools and automation using Python or Go.
• Contribute to improvements in networking, secrets management, and access controls.
• Help developers use the platform, handle infrastructure requests, and turn recurring tasks into automated solutions.

Requirements

• Practical commercial experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or SRE.
• Strong Linux skills and an understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift in production environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, preferably using Terraform and Ansible.
• Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Helm and GitOps principles.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools, including participation in infrastructure incident investigations.
• Python or Go programming skills for task automation.
• The ability to explain your technical decisions, collaborate with developers, and take tasks through to completion.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with both cloud and bare-metal infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI, ArgoCD, and Harbor.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Mimir, OpenTelemetry, Loki, or ELK.
• Experience with Cilium, Nginx, Traefik, Gateway API, or Cloudflare.
• Experience with Vault, Keycloak, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Experience operating databases, message brokers, and object storage.
• Experience building reusable infrastructure modules, CLI utilities, or self-service tools for developers.
