Charleston Dog Walker is seeking part-time dog walkers and pet sitters to cover weekday midday visits in the Charleston area. You will walk dogs, care for cats, follow feeding instructions, and send journals and photos.
Training is provided, including Pet Emergency Care certification, with a supportive management team. You must live in James Island, Downtown Charleston, Johns Island, Folly Beach, or Avondale, and be available for at least three weekdays around 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Your next coworker might sneeze directly into your face and then look delighted to see you.
Another might supervise from the top of the refrigerator. Neither will respect your personal space. Both could become the best part of your day.
Charleston Dog Walker has been caring for local pets since 2015. We’re hiring part-time dog walkers and pet sitters for weekday midday visits. If getting to know a dog’s favorite route—or finally earning a cat’s approval—sounds like a satisfying way to spend part of your week, keep reading.
You love the animals. You notice the details.
A dog seems quieter than usual. A water bowl needs washing. The feeding instructions don’t match what’s on the counter.
You’re dependable, notice the details, and ask questions when something doesn’t add up. The cat may insist she gets three dinners. You verify with a human.
You’ll walk dogs, care for cats, follow feeding and medication instructions, handle cleanup, secure homes, and send thoughtful visit journals and photos. Your photo subjects may have other plans.
You’ll visit pets independently, with training—including online Pet Emergency Care certification—and a management team you can turn to. We organize your schedule around your stated availability, so you can focus on giving each pet great care.
