What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Prepare, evaluate, and validate settlement invoices in coordination with energy trading partners
2. Lead daily accounting initiatives with a focus on shadow settlements for ISO, RTO, and counterparties
3. Manage the checkout process for physical trades before scheduling with ISOs and RTOs
4. Coordinate financial energy trading and physical trading accounts payable and receivable activities
5. Analyze and cross-compare power trading derivatives to support the creation of commercial disparity reports

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. 2-4+ years of data analytics, energy trading, and power markets settlements experience
2. Hands-on experience with power trading reconciliations, confirmations, derivatives, and AR/AP settlement validations
3. Proven track record of communicating with power trading counterparties and key internal teams
4. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI for portfolio optimization and power trading dynamics
5. Understanding of national energy markets and renewable energy portfolios

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Experience in real-time energy trading, derivatives, and transmission market operations
2. Background in power market pricing, hedging strategies, transaction structuring, and risk assessments
3. Familiarity with NERC, FERC, or transmission tariff/compliance initiatives
4. Previous titles held may include Energy Trading Analyst, Settlements Analyst, Data Science Analyst, Credit Analyst, or Data Analyst
