Mission

This is a System Engineer position supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Air & Missile Defense (AMD) Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems.

Responsibilities
  • Work with both contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), government civilians and system operators.
  • Develop system level features that describe MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to provide guidance for software implementation.
  • Tasks include leading reviews and adjudicating comments made against the features.
  • An MBSE approach is used to document the features using an Agile workflow.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL. area or be willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL area.
  • Candidate should have 4 - 10 years of system engineering experience.
  • Candidate must have experience in one or more of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
  • Candidate should have a progressively complex experience in the design, integration, and analysis of military electronics, computer networking, super-minicomputers, microcomputers, and digital and graphic display systems.
  • Candidate must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US Top Secret security clearance, with possibilities of working at higher classification levels.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • 7 years of progressively complex experience.
  • Candidate needs to have a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
  • System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
  • Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF are desired.
  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe Agile experience are plus.
