Job summary

ATC Automation in Simi Valley, CA is seeking a Mid-Senior Controls Engineer to design, develop, and support custom automation equipment across industries. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and vision systems to deliver reliable machinery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in custom automation or industrial controls.
Strong understanding of PLC programming, HMI development, motion control, robotics, and industrial networks.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, troubleshoot, and support industrial automation systems.
Demonstrate proficiency with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi automation platforms.
Read, interpret, and create electrical and pneumatic schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
Design, develop, and debug complex control programs for industrial machinery and manufacturing processes.
Utilize ladder logic and machine controls to optimize performance.
Travel to customer facilities for installation, troubleshooting, and support activities.
