Job summary

ENGIE North America in the United States (hybrid role) seeks a Middle-Office Analyst II, Risk & Finance to support daily MtM reporting, P&L validation, and sign-off monitoring. You will help manage book structures across multiple entities and develop data-driven reports while adhering to trader risk mandates.

The role emphasizes process improvements, Power BI enhancements, and collaboration with Front Office, Back Office, IT, and Finance.

Qualifications

• ) Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, mathematics, economics or a relevant field.
• 2 years experience in a Middle-Office or similar analytical environment within energy/commodities.
• Experience with MtM reporting, P&L analysis, and risk metrics (VaR, stress testing).
• Proficiency with ETRM systems (FIS Aligne) and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python is highly desired.
• Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily MtM computations and initial validation for all trading books and products.
• Ensure timely distribution and accuracy of MtM figures to stakeholders.
• Validate daily P&L results and provide desk- and book-level explanations.
• Monitor P&L sign-off and escalate discrepancies as needed.
• Publish Daily Risk & Performance Reports and maintain data quality.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards using Power BI to improve visibility into performance.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Back Office and Accounting to maintain book structures across entities.
• Monitor trader risk mandates and report any breaches.
• Assist in modeling reserves (credit, liquidity, inception, model, intermittency, shape, volume).
• Validate forward/settlement curves and benchmark data against market data.
• Contribute to automation of Middle-Office processes and Power BI report maintenance.
• Work with Legal, Finance and IT to ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.
