Job summary

Paychex is seeking a Mid-Market Sales professional to partner with growing businesses (20–99 employees) and help them strengthen people operations and scale with confidence. You’ll consult, build relationships, and become a trusted advisor to business owners while driving new logos and high-velocity deals.

This role emphasizes outbound prospecting, consultative selling of Paychex Flex and HR services, and ownership of the full sales cycle from discovery to close.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years professional sales experience.
• 3 years B2B sales environment.
• 2+ years HCM experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate consultative, solution-based sales conversations.
• Strong prospecting mindset with outbound focus.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business by prospecting and winning new logos within your assigned territory.
• Sell a robust suite of solutions, including Paychex Flex and advanced HR services.
• Execute outbound activity to build a pipeline (calls, outreach, networking, partnerships).
• Lead consultative sales conversations with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Manage a high-velocity sales process with small/mid-size businesses (1-2 call closes).
• Own the full sales process—from discovery and solutioning to closing.

What You’ll Do

• Drive new business by prospecting and winning new logos within your assigned territory

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma - Required
• Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
• 2 years of experience in B2B Sales/Marketing.
• 2 years of experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) industry.
• Cold Calling experience.
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software experience.
• Valid Driver's License - Required

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the compensation range for this position is typically between 70,000 - $150,000. This range includes base pay plus commissions but does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
