Job summary

Horrocks, a leading provider in Telecom, is seeking a mid-level Traffic & ITS Engineer to join our Phoenix, AZ office.

As part of the Telecom team, you will tackle traffic analysis and design tasks, prepare traffic impact reports, and contribute to municipal/DOT projects while ensuring quality and timeliness. The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ experience, PE licensure, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• PE licensure required or in process.
• 3+ years' traffic analysis and design experience.
• ITS design & implementation experience.
• Pavement marking and signing knowledge.
• Ability to lead traffic plan development for municipalities and DOTs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Telecom team on traffic analysis and design for telecom projects.
• Perform traffic engineering tasks and prepare traffic impact analyses and reports.
• Make decisions on design and engineering procedures.
• Serve as a technical specialist on mid-size projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
• Manage multiple traffic tasks and projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare clear and accurate technical reports, construction plans, specifications, and estimates.

Mid-Level Traffic & ITS Engineer

Horrocks, a leading provider in Telecom, is seeking a mid-level Traffic & ITS Engineer to join our Phoenix, AZ office.

Department: Telecom
Location: Phoenix, AZ

Unmatched Comp Time Policy: Hours worked over 40 in a week can be reimbursed as additional pay at an equivalent hourly rate or banked as additional PTO.

As a Traffic Engineer, you will be part of a growing company laser-focused on meeting our client’s needs while solving complex traffic challenges.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Telecom team on a variety of traffic analysis and design needs for a variety of telecommunication projects.
• Perform complex traffic engineering tasks, exercise sound engineering judgment, and prepare traffic impact analysis reports.
• Make decisions on design and engineering procedures.
• Function as a technical specialist on mid-size projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
• Manage multiple traffic tasks and projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare clear and accurate technical reports, construction plans, specifications, and estimates from start to finish.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
• 3+ years’ experience in traffic analysis and traffic engineering design.
• ITS design and implementation experience.
• Pavement marking and signing design knowledge.
• Ability to lead the development of a traffic plan set for Municipalities and DOTs.
• Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong teamwork skills, working cooperatively with other team members, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.
