Responsibilities include developing layouts, performing calculations, and producing construction documents while traveling 50-75% as needed.

By addressing every component of a fall protection program—engineering, procedures, training, and compliance—we help our clients achieve the highest level of worker safety in the most cost‑effective way.
We are looking to fill the role of a Mid‑level Structural Engineer to work for our Safety practice in our Houston, Texas office. The Mid‑level Structural Engineer will analyze, design, plan, and create structural components and systems as they lead fall protection design projects for LJB clients.
Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience designing practical fall protection solutions that help keep workers safe across a variety of industrial, commercial, and institutional environments. You will work alongside experienced structural engineering professionals, develop technical expertise through real project exposure, and build a strong foundation for long‑term growth within LJB’s Safety team.
