Job summary

Toyota Financial Services is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join our growing technology team in Plano, TX. This hybrid role is ideal for early-career professionals aiming to accelerate development on modern cloud-native applications.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers to build scalable services on AWS, contribute to design reviews, and write clean, testable code in Java, TypeScript, Python, or Node.js. Location is Plano, with a commutable distance requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a technical field such as CS/CE/IS/IT.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, ReactJS, TypeScript, and Python to design, develop and maintain customer experiences on AWS cloud platform.
• Experience designing event-driven systems for asynchronous communication between systems and components.
• Strong emphasis on Test-Driven Development (TDD), object-oriented design, and testing for responsive web applications.
• Experience building software using design patterns, best practices, and coding standards.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver features from concept to production.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to deliver features from concept to production

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 3 to 5 years of experience in technical discipline, including computer science, computer engineering, information systems, and information technology
• Intermediate to advanced programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Spring Boot, Nodejs, ReactJS, TypeScript, Java or Python to design, develop and maintain customer experiences on AWS cloud platform along with event driven design
• Experience with designing and building event driven systems for asynchronous communication between systems and components
• Skilled at delivering high-quality, clean, and reusable code using Test-Driven Development (TDD), object-oriented design, and testing for responsive web applications.
• Experience building software using design patterns, best practices, and coding standards.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

Added bonus if you have

• At least 1 year of structured Software Development experience using Spring / Springboot
• AWS Certifications (Certified Developer – Associate/Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional)
