Job summary

ENS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Public Affairs Officer – Mid to produce internal and external news and information products for the agency and its mission. The role covers news/media relations, digital media, community outreach, strategic communications, and internal/external engagements.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in public affairs or journalism, with DoD/IC context preferred. The position emphasizes writing, coordination, and proactive outreach to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism.
• 5+ years in public affairs, public relations, or journalism; 8+ years if no degree.
• Experience drafting press materials and responding to inquiries.
• Ability to write and produce content for websites, social platforms and internal communications.
• Experience coordinating logistics for public events, meetings, or conferences.
• Strong written and verbal communication; translate complex information clearly.
• Experience managing social media accounts and analytics.
• Project coordination with multiple stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and publish public affairs deliverables in AP Style.
• Manage media activities: talking points, news releases, pitch stories; track media metrics.
• Create tailored content for social platforms and analyze performance.
• Lead communications planning for agency initiatives and maintain bios and org charts.
• Provide public affairs support for external conferences, outreach, and events; coordinate logistics for events.
• Maintain internal databases and coordinate with ethics and communications teams.
• Provide copy editing and QA for public affairs products.
