ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to join our Federal Services Group.

You'll develop process designs, produce high-quality deliverables, and maintain rigorous compliance with industry codes while supporting DOE facilities nationwide. The role involves glovebox design, waste transfer systems, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, efficient operations at client sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 4 years of Process Engineering experience.
  • Experience in chemical, nuclear or federal field preferred.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Experience in design of chemical processes systems and controls and ability to develop P&IDs, and perform transient analyses.
  • General knowledge in chemical process simulation.
  • Experience in design and operation of Gloveboxes for nuclear material handling preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; Comfortable and effective communicator with team, clients, management, etc.
  • Strong technical writing and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs.

Job description

Overview Our Federal Services Group is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to join the team. Responsibilities of this role include preparing error-free engineering documents, maintaining relevant knowledge of industry codes and standards, building strong client relationships and producing high quality engineering deliverables. The Federal Services group provides engineering services for our Department of Energy (DOE) facilities. The work could involve process designs from designing special material handling gloveboxes to the design/development of waste transfer systems. This position can be based out of one of the following office locations:

  • Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta)
  • FT Worth, TX
  • Plano, TX
  • Overland Park, KS (Suburb of Kansas City)

  • Experience in design and operation of Gloveboxes for nuclear material handling preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; Comfortable and effective communicator with team, clients, management, etc., choosing the right mode of communication for the situation and relaying the right message
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at client sites
  • Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail
  • Strong coordination skills; demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, divisions, and teams
  • Problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks
  • Position may involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time
