Job summary

CALNET, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Mid-Level Oracle Database Administrator to design, deploy, and manage standalone Oracle databases. You will work independently, collaborate across division teams, and communicate effectively with staff and management.

Responsibilities include IaC provisioning, backup/restore policy design, patch cycles, performance tuning, HA/DR testing, monitoring dashboards, and security auditing. U.S.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of Oracle experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Professional Oracle certifications are required.
• Experience with MariaDB, Oracle Grid, RMAN and MS Access.

Responsibilities

• Design + automate IaC provisioning and configuration.
• Design backup/restore policy and test DR/PITR.
• Plan and lead patch cycles.
• Perform performance tuning with metrics.
• Implement and test HA/DR failovers.
• Monitor, alert, and build dashboards.
• Ensure encryption and auditing for security/compliance.
• Lead incident management and RCA activities.

As a Prime Government Contractor for Government Publishing Office (GPO), we are currently searching for a talented Mid-Level Oracle Database Administrator in Washington, DC.

About the Job

This position requires creating and managing standalone Oracle databases proficiently. Also, this position requires the ability to identify and triage issues, perform server maintenance, execute software installations and patching, maintain High Availability (HA) systems and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols. Need to have the ability to work independently, collaborate within and across division teams, and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.

Required Skills
