Job summary

Active Alliance in New Jersey is seeking a Mid-Level .NET Developer to join our technology team. You will build, enhance, and maintain scalable web applications using the Microsoft .NET stack.

The role emphasizes RESTful API design, SQL Server optimization, and collaboration in an Agile/Scrum setup. Ideal candidates have 5–6 years of hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Web API, plus modern front-end tech.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET / .NET Core.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Web API.
• Strong experience with SQL Server.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with Git and source control.
• Familiarity with unit testing and automated testing.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, and ASP.NET.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
• Develop web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, or React.
• Work with SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot application issues and resolve production defects.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
• Work with Git and modern CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with QA, business analysts, architects, and other developers.
• Work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
